The studio is conveniently located at 69 Mayo Road, Suite 201 in Edgewater, MD, on the second floor, right next to the elevator. It's fully ADA accessible and features a spacious bathroom for you and your clients. We offer beautifully designed sets suitable for various types of sessions inside of our 1,100 sq ft space, along with an extensive collection of newborn and milestone props available for your use.
This space is perfect for all creative professionals, whether you're a photographer, model, makeup artist, or anyone looking to elevate your brand and enhance your services whether its a workshop for others, presenting a gallery to a client for IPS or just you practicing your craft. Jackalope Studio Bundles
As photographers, we recognize the importance of having access to a studio that boasts fantastic sets at affordable prices, allowing you to deliver exceptional value and quality to your clients. We offer studio bundles designed to simplify your studio time, whether you’re perfecting your craft, hosting a workshop, revealing a photo gallery to a client for IPS, or providing a comfortable environment for your clients.
Working from home for studio sessions can be challenging, especially if you have family & kids around. Take advantage of this opportunity to utilize a professional, clean, and modern space for your photography sessions, ensuring you provide an outstanding product for your clients.
At Jackalope Photo Studio we offer discounted hourly bundles vs memberships or purchasing time blocks for a specific day. These can be used how ever you want and whenever you want, but they expire 1 year after your purchase date. You will purchase the bundle of hours and then you will receive a code to use at booking. When you are ready to use your time, you simply go to the booking site, select the day/time you want and schedule it using your code.

Lighting Equipment Included in the Space

Lume Cube Flex Light Pro
This light is perfect for you to use for headshots, portraits or even to let a hair/makeup artist use while getting hair and/or makeup done. It has two flexible heads on it to move around, warmth and brightness is adjustable.

Lume Cube LED Studio Panels
These panels are my favorite to use for pretty much any session type. They are dimmable and you can adjust the warmth on them for your session.

Lume Cube XL Light & Softbox
Another constant light with the ability to change the RGB of it just by downloading the Lume Control app. You can adjust the warmth and brightness on the dials on the back of the light.

Rolling LED Window Wall
This light transforms the atmosphere from harsh overhead lighting to soft, natural light with just a click. You can easily dim the light from either the top or bottom, and the wall can be repositioned anywhere in the space. Measuring 8 feet tall by 9 feet wide, this wall serves as a versatile backdrop or light for any photos you want to capture.
What type of sessions do well in here?

Boudoir
I have a stunning black-themed area in the room that's perfect for creating dark and moody boudoir sessions. You can make use of the leather chair and leather couch, and I also have an air mattress available to set up a cozy bed scene on this side. On the opposite side, you'll find a bright white bed set that offers a completely different vibe for your shoots.

Families
The couch is ideal for family sessions, and the light side of the room features a bed set that works beautifully for softer looks or simple shots against the white walls or a seamless backdrop. We provide black and white seamless paper rolls for your convenience, but you’re also welcome to bring your own rolls or backdrops to achieve your desired look.

Milestones
We offer a wide variety of milestone props suitable for newborns, toddlers, cake smashes, and simple portraits. While all props are included with your booking, you also have the option to add color seamless paper rolls to enhance your session or you can bring your own backdrops and props to create your own look.
FAQ
What is included in my session?
Multiple unique sets ready for you to customize with your unique style. Ample open space in our 1,100 sq. ft facility for you build your own looks with our vast selection of props and backdrops or bring your own.
About your rental:
• Selected timeframe - this includes the setup and breakdown of your session.
• Access to the prop room included in booking.
• Large ADA accessible private bathroom is included in the space for you and your clients to use.
• You will receive a custom code for the lock box as well as instructions on accessing the space within 24 hours of your session day. Your time starts exactly at the time you select. The box will not open earlier.
• Payment in full is due at booking.
• The elevator turns off after 8pm every day of the week. Keep that in mind when booking later sessions.
• Black or white savage paper rolls is available for your session
• All snacks and drinks in front lobby area are free for you and your clients.

Is setup & breakdown included in my time?
Yes. For every time slot booked, your door code will unlock exactly at your start time you select and end exactly at your end time. The lock box will not unlock again after your time is over and you will be charged a late fee if you are overtime.
Do I have to clean up after myself?
Yes. Put all props/items back where you found them and put the space back the way it was when you arrived. If you had animals in the space or the space got messy after your session(s), please vacuum the space so it is clean for the next client.
If you have done a cake smash or have a ton of session related trash, please be sure to take it with you. You can put it in the dumpster behind the building on your way out. There are trash bags in the prop room on one of the shelves.
What if I need more time?
If you are finding that you need more time than you have booked for your session, please reach out to Jackalope Photo Studio via text (you will receive a text day of with your door code so just use that thread). If there is the time after your session to add on more, we can do that for an additional fee based on what you need.
What happens if something breaks or gets damaged during my session?
If something gets broken or damaged during your session, please reach out to Jackalope Photo Studio via text and show photos of what happened. There will likely be a damage charge for whatever happened unless it is basic wear and tear.
What are the details of memberships?
All rental hours are subject to availability and scheduling during studio hours. Hours may not be “banked” or “rolled over” to following month.
With memberships you can do one hour booking slots instead of the two hour limit.
All new users and renters must complete a walk thru prior to rental.
