Julia & Jordan’s December wedding at Celebrations at the Bay in Pasadena, Maryland was the definition of a perfect winter wedding day. While December weddings in Maryland often bring cold temperatures, these two were treated to an unseasonably warm day, allowing us to fully enjoy everything this waterfront venue has to offer.
Getting Ready at Celebrations at the Bay
Julia began her wedding day getting ready in the upstairs bridal suite at Celebrations at the Bay, and it truly is one of the most beautiful getting-ready spaces in the area. With soft natural light, elegant details, and a calm atmosphere, it was the perfect setting for final touches, candid moments, and emotional pre-ceremony photos.
For couples planning a Celebrations at the Bay wedding, this space is a major highlight—especially from a photography perspective.
Outdoor Winter Wedding Portraits in Pasadena, MD
Thanks to the warm December weather, we were able to do all of Julia & Jordan’s wedding portraits outside without jackets, which is a rare treat for a winter wedding in Maryland. The waterfront backdrop, soft seasonal light, and relaxed timeline made their portraits feel effortless, romantic, and timeless.
Outdoor portraits during a December wedding don’t always happen—but when they do, they are absolutely worth it.
Indoor Ceremony with Stunning Natural Light (and a Flower Boy Who Stole the Show)
Julia & Jordan chose to have their wedding ceremony indoors at Celebrations at the Bay, and it was absolutely beautiful. The ceremony space is filled with large windows that provide incredible natural light, creating a bright and romantic atmosphere as they exchanged vows.
One of the most unforgettable moments of the ceremony came from their flower boy, who completely stole the show. Instead of a traditional flower girl, they opted for a flower boy who brought big personality and charm down the aisle—setting the tone for a ceremony filled with joy and laughter.
Wedding Reception, Photo Booth Fun & a Flower Boy Encore
During the reception, Julia & Jordan included our photo booth add-on, which resulted in so many fun, candid moments throughout the night. The photo booth was set up in the room just off the side of the ballroom, which turned out to be the perfect location for both guest flow and high-quality, beautifully lit images.
And yes—the flower boy made a return appearance. Still fully in character, he brought his florals with him for the reception introductions and even joined in on the photo booth fun, making for some of the most memorable and hilarious images of the night.
Night Portraits, Private Last Dance & Bubble Exit
As the evening came to a close, we snuck Julia & Jordan outside for romantic, backlit nighttime wedding portraits that felt intimate and cinematic. Before their exit, they also shared a private last dance inside the ballroom, a moment just for the two of them while guests gathered outside to prepare for the send-off.
Private last dances are quickly becoming a favorite tradition—they allow couples to soak in the final moments of their wedding day together before rejoining their guests.
Moments later, Julia & Jordan were sent off with a joyful bubble exit, ending the night on the perfect celebratory note.
