Sam & Ben’s Romantic June Wedding at Herrington on the Bay
Maryland Wedding Photography | Chesapeake Bay Waterfront Wedding
Some wedding days just stay with you long after the gallery is delivered — and Sam & Ben’s June 2025 wedding at Herrington on the Bay is absolutely one of those days for me.
From the very beginning, these two were the definition of sweet. The kind of couple where you don’t need to ask for emotion — it’s just there. You could see how deeply Ben loves Sam simply by the way he looked at her. Quiet moments, shared glances, soft smiles — the kind of connection wedding photographers dream of capturing.
As a Maryland wedding photographer, I’ve photographed dozens of weddings, but Sam & Ben’s day felt different. I never once felt like “the hired photographer.” Instead, I felt like I was part of the family — welcomed, trusted, and genuinely included. Those are the days that result in the most authentic, emotional, storytelling wedding photography.
A Chesapeake Bay Wedding with Unpredictable Weather (and Perfect Timing)
June weddings in Maryland can be a gamble, and this one kept us on our toes. The weather tested us for most of the day — overcast skies, looming rain clouds, and that familiar will it or won’t it rain tension that waterfront weddings sometimes bring.
But Sam & Ben stayed calm, present, and completely focused on each other — and honestly, that energy carried everyone through the day.
And then, almost like magic, the weather broke at exactly the right moment.
We were able to complete all of their portraits — romantic couple photos, wedding party portraits, and family photos — just in time. Moments after we wrapped up photography and everyone stepped into the stunning Herrington on the Bay ballroom tent, the skies opened up and the rain poured down.
Perfect timing. Perfect energy. Perfect day.
Why Herrington on the Bay Is One of My Favorite Wedding Venues
It’s no secret — Herrington on the Bay is one of my absolute favorite Maryland wedding venues.
As a wedding photographer, this venue offers:
- Stunning Chesapeake Bay waterfront views
- Dreamy natural light
- Lush greenery and elegant landscaping
- A beautiful indoor/outdoor flow
- And one of the most gorgeous tented ballroom receptions in Maryland
Sam & Ben’s wedding showcased everything that makes Herrington so special. The way the light dances off the water, the peaceful marina backdrop, and the refined coastal elegance make it a dream location for waterfront wedding photography.
Every time I photograph a wedding at Herrington on the Bay, I fall in love with it all over again — and I truly can’t wait for many more weddings here.
A Celebration Filled with Love, Laughter, and Real Moments
Once inside the tent, the celebration truly began. The rain only added to the cozy, romantic atmosphere inside the ballroom — laughter, emotional toasts, heartfelt hugs, and a dance floor full of joy.
Sam & Ben were surrounded by family and friends who clearly adore them, and the love in that room was palpable. These are the moments I live for as a documentary wedding photographer — real emotions, unscripted moments, and genuine connection.
From emotional first looks to joyful candid moments, every part of their day was filled with meaning. Their wedding was the perfect example of why couples invest in professional wedding photography — because these are moments you want to remember forever.
A Wedding I’ll Always Remember
Sam & Ben’s wedding at Herrington on the Bay reminded me exactly why I love being a Maryland wedding photographer.
It’s about more than timelines and perfect weather.
It’s about love.
It’s about trust.
It’s about being welcomed into someone’s story.
Sam & Ben — thank you for trusting me to capture your day, for welcoming me like family, and for letting me witness such a beautiful chapter of your lives. Your wedding was unforgettable, and I’m so honored to have been part of it.
